Churro recipe

Churros are a popular breakfast item that are often dubbed to be the "Spanish doughnut." The dish is accompanied with a beverage: hot chooclate or cafe con leche. The churro is dipped in the beverage and consumed, much like a cookie or a biscotti. This recipe by Chef James Tahhan is an easy churro recipe that also includes a recipe for chocolate dipping sauce.

Ingredients

1 liter of vegetable oil
1 cup water
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup flour
3 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup ground cinnamon

For the chocolate sauce:

1 cup chocolate
2 cups milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brandy
1/2 teaspoon cayenne red pepper

Directions

For the sauce, place all ingredients in a pot for sauces and incorporate all ingredients, stirring constantly.

For the churros in a pot add water and butter and we boil, then add sugar and dilute, add the flour followed and mix vigorously. Remove from heat and mix 3 eggs, incorporate until it becomes a kind of dough. We carry the dough to a pastry bag with a star tip thick.

Then we form the churros on a tray and take it to the refrigerator. Once added to hot oil firm until the churros reach golden brown color.
