The fate of George Zimmerman is now in the hands of the six-person jury sworn in on the murder case. Zimmerman faces a possible life sentence for the murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman fatally shot Martin in February 2012.

The police in Miami have begun to set up "First Amendment Zones" as a way to better control the potential protesters. It is believed Sanford, Florida will see mass riots and potential violence if George Zimmerman is found not guilty of killing Trayvon Martin.

At first the officers investigating Martin's murder believed Zimmerman's self-defense story. A former Sanford, Florida police chief recently told CNN he felt pressured by city officials to arrest Zimmerman because of the ongoing public unrest.

"It was [relayed] to me that they just wanted an arrest," Bill Lee told CNN. "They didn't care if it got dismissed later."

Zimmerman told the police when they first got to the scene he killed Martin because the teen attacked him. Zimmerman said the 17-year-old began to smash his head against a concrete curb.

Fox News is reporting that the family of George Zimmerman purposefully down played his Latino roots. According to Fox Zimmermann's brother Robert told them they did not mention their Latino heritage because they did not want to add fuel to the racial fire.

"Our family very deliberately left the injection of another racial element off the table. Any color or race is capable of racism so claiming to be 'not white' and therefore 'not culpable' is a moot point."
