If you missed it, over the weekend the soundtrack list for "Grand Theft Auto V" leaked online. "GTA 5" digital PS3 pre-orders were available for pre-load overnight in the UK, which led anxious fans to discover unknown info from the game's files. The most notable of course, was the games numerous music stations and songs. The soundtrack list and stations uncovered by GTAForums includes big time artists like Tupac, Johnny Cash, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Britney Spears and other artists you'd expect.

Following the leak Sony issued an apology saying, "Regrettably, some people who downloaded the digital pre-order of Grand Theft Auto V through the PlayStation Store in Europe were able to access certain GTA V assets. These assets were posted online. We have since removed the digital pre-order file from the PlayStation Store in Europe. We sincerely apologize to Rockstar and GTA fans across the world who were exposed to the spoiler content. GTA V is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year with a very passionate following, and we're looking forward to a historic launch on 17th September."

Rockstar has now responded to the incident via the Rockstar Newswire, writing:

"Unfortunately, as many of you may already know, some people who downloaded the digital pre-order of Grand Theft Auto V through the PlayStation Store in Europe were able to access certain GTA V assets leading to leaked information and media from the game appearing online," the statement begins. "As you can imagine, we are deeply disappointed by leaks and spoilers being spread in advance of the game's launch. GTA V represents years of hard work by many people across the world, and we all couldn't be more excited to finally share it with you properly this September 17th."

To put gamers at ease the company also said that there will be more details and surprises to reveal before the September 17 launch. Rockstar also warned that anybody discussing or sharing spoilers on their site would have their commenting privileges revoked.

"GTA V" will release September 17 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
