Non-stop speculation has been surrounded Apple's rumored Sept. 10 media event. AllThingsD first reported the media event earlier in August, and while it has remained unconfirmed by Apple, multiple sources have insisted upon the happening of the high-profile gathering. One of the more notable verifications comes from "The Loop's," Jim Dalrymple who seemingly confirmed the site's post with the comment of "Yep."

Dalrymple, is well connected with Apple, and according to MacRumors, has "on many occasions either confirmed or refuted other reports and rumors in simple one-word posts with 100% accuracy." Official media invitations for the event will most likely appear a week before the Sept. 10 date; therefore we will know shortly whether Apple is in fact unveiling some new devices or not.

In more news regarding the media event, Bloomberg posted an article on Wednesday regarding Apple's plans to build a retail store in Tokyo. However, the article also briefly touches upon a very interesting fact concerning the Sept. 10 media event. "The Cupertino, California-based company plans to introduce new versions of its phone and tablet at a Sept. 10 event, a person familiar with the matter has said, and the company promised "several more game changers" in the product pipeline as it tries to fend off Samsung Electronics Co. and Chinese makers selling cheaper handsets." The Sept.10 media event has been solely focused on the introduction of new iPhone models, and Apple's much talked about iOS 7, however with Bloomberg's latest report maybe Apple is unveiling new iPads as well.

While I would love to see the iPads alongside the new iPhones at the Sept. 10 media event, it just doesn't make sense. MacRumors reported that the casual nature in which Bloomberg mentions the new iPads is most likely in error. Logistically, it would be an absolute nightmare for Apple to unveil so many devices at one time, if reports are to be believed Apple will release the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPad Mini 2, and iPad 5 all in about 2 weeks.

It seems unlikely, and we are already expecting Apple to launch iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 in the October or November timeframe. Additionally, many reports state that Apple could even delay the launch of iOS 7 and unveil the new upcoming mobile operating system with the next-generation iPads.
