Burn Notice
Mike and Fi's relationship has been through so much, can it survive this latest test? Facebook.com

The end is near "Burn Notice" fans, there is only one episode left and it is going to be an epic and bittersweet ending. The series finale of "Burn Notice" will air next week on USA. Episode 11 aired tonight picking up after last week's shocker. Michael Westen (Jeffry Donovan) confessed to James (John Pyper-Ferguson) that he had been working with the CIA for more than the entire time James has known him. Westen was working a deep cover with the CIA. The goal was to get James and take him down; in exchange Westen's friends and family would stay out of prison.

The CIA's decision to recruit the psychotic hotel bomber Simon (Garret Dillahunt) in an effort to get James did not sit well with Mike. Last week Westen betrayed the CIA and his own teammates when he led James to safety instead of handing him over like he was supposed to. Once Michael and James made it back to James' safe house Westen confessed his true intentions for joining up with the wanted terrorist. In tonight's episode we saw Michael's friends and family work hard to bring Westen back from the dark path he is travelling down.

"Sea Change" begins with Michael in a holding cell at James' compound. Sonya arrived to tell Westen James wanted to speak with him. The hardcore Russian operative wanted to know if what she and Michael had was real. Mike answered by saying there was apart of him that cared for her but it was mostly for his job that he got close to her. James grills Michael for a little while and finally decided to put him to the ultimate test. James asked Michael Westen to flip on the CIA and join his organization for good. Westen agreed.

Michael calls his CIA contact and tells him that he just missed an opportunity to grab James but his cover is still intact and the mission is salvageable. After a little arm twisting to get the CIA to keep the mission alive Westen is told he only has 36-hours to bring James in or their deal is off. The CIA has no idea Westen is playing them but Fiona and Jesse feel something is wrong after Mike tells them to stay away and breaks all contact. A reluctant Sam agrees to tail Mike and he and Jesse catch the burned spy in a lie. That is when they realize Mike has betrayed the CIA and switched sides.

Sam, Fiona and Jesse come up with a plan to get Mike away from James and on a plane out of the country. The catch is that Fiona has to burn down Madeline's house in order to get Mike's attention. The plan almost works but when Sam goes to pick Mike up after telling him he must speak with Fiona, Mike realizes Sam is up to something. Sam and Westen duke it out on a bridge in Miami. They fall into the harbor and Sam uses his Navy Seal training to get the better of Mike. Or so he thought.

Mike tricks Sam into thinking he won and elbows the mojito loving Seal in the face. The pair climbs out of the water and Westen tells Sam he will let the fight go because they are friends. James and Westen have devised a plan to allow James to be turned over to the CIA. Once in CIA custody James wants Michael and Sonya to take over the organization. Mike agrees and that is what he and Sam were fighting about. Well that and the fact Sam compared Mike to the people who killed his brother Nate.

After the brawl with Sam, Mike returns to Sonya where she is awaiting James' arrival on a communications building rooftop. The plan is to have Mike take James into custody and Sonya will escape ready to carry on the organization's missions with Michael by her side. Things do not go as planned. Unwilling to believe the man she once loved is a traitor Fiona comes up with a plan to get Michael back. Fiona, Jesse and Sam head over to the building where Mike is waiting with Sonya.

A well-placed distraction gets Sonya off the roof and allows Fiona her chance to speak with Westen. Michael keeps telling Fiona she has to leave but Fiona reminds him of the conversation Mike and Sam had before the fight. Sam asked Mike what he would do when the day came and someone was threatening to take down the organization he was now in control of. Fiona said that day had arrived and she was that person. At that moment Sonya reappears and tells Michael Fiona has to be "dealt with."

James is on the way to the roof via helicopter as Fiona and Sonya's voices ring out in Michaels ears. Sonya keeps telling Michael to kill Fiona and Fiona keeps saying that if the man she loved is gone then he should kill her. The episode ends with Sonya taking out a gun and Michael's eyes widening as a shot rings out. You do not see who has been shot. In an interview with TV Guide Jeffery Donovan said the series finale would see the death of a major character. Will Fiona be the one to die in the last episode of "Burn notice"?
