"Once Upon A Time" returns to ABC for a third season on Sunday, Sept. 29. Season three will pick up moments after the season two finale. In case you have forgotten Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), Charming (Josh Dallas), Regina (Lana Parrilla), Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle), and Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) are on their way to Neverland in order to save Henry (Jared S. Gilmore). Henry was taken through a portal to Neverland by Tamara (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Greg (Ethan Embry). The pair are working together for an organization that's out to destroy all magic.

At the end of last season Henry's family joined up with hook on board his ship the Jolly Roger. Using a magic bean they were instantly transported through a portal and into Neverland. Peter Pan is the one who rules over Neverland but he is not the happy go-lucky kid from the Disney movies. The "Once Upon A Time" version of Peter Pan is a demon that takes children to Neverland, a place of torment and sorrow. Peter Pan also controls the lost boys. He sends them out to find the children he wants for Neverland. There is one boy the Pan wants more than anything.

His lost boys have been searching for the boy for years. It turns out that the boy Pan so desperately wants is Henry. The reasoning behind Pan's need to find Henry is not yet clear. Season three will open up with everyone looking for Henry. The first episode titled "Heart of the Truest Believer" will start off with a flash back from 11 years prior to the events of the season two finale. Henry is 11 years old and there is the possibility that the story of how Regina adopted Henry will finally be told. The adoption story may not be told until episode nine but in episode one we will see Henry as a baby.

Another heartwarming family moment will happen between Emma and her mother Snow White. Emma has not been very receptive to Snow and Charming as parents. You can imagine it would be pretty weird to grow up your entire life thinking you were abandoned only to find out you were born of fairy tale characters. It also must be weird to look at your parents who have not aged in 28 years and who look like they are only a few years older than yourself. But the rumor mill has been turning and we are told that a there will be a "heartbreaking" scene between mother and daughter.

"Once Upon A Time" actress Ginnifer Goodwin recently sat down with the Huffington Post and spoke about how the relationship between Emma and Snow will progress through Season 3. Goodwin said that she and Jennifer Morrison were happy to be able to explore the dynamic between these two characters further in Season 3. "Last season, we felt that the story was so exciting and there was so much adventure that we were distracted from each other and from this relationship. Every time we went to address this dynamic in our past ... something would interfere."

Goodwin continued by saying "Now that we are stuck together, there is [going to] be ample opportunity to really face ourselves, and therefore face each other. I think that given the fact that Emma would clearly have abandonment issues, and that Snow would carry around an immense amount of guilt, there's a lot there to play." Other spoiler sites have hinted at a death in Neverland. It is doubtful that a major character like Snow, Emma, Charming, Regina or Gold would die. Hook is a possibility but he seems to be developing his own arc. Not to mention a love triangle between Emma, Hook and Neal would be a great story.

It is more likely that either Tamara or Greg will perish in Neverland. They follow their orders from the "Home Office" without a second thought. Once they arrive in Neverland and come face to face with Peter Pan they might not make it out alive. Episodes one and two of "Once Upon A Time" season three will take place exclusively between the Enchanted Forest and Neverland. In the season two finale Neal is shot and falls through a portal into the Enchanted Forest. Everyone else believes Neal is dead but with the help of some familiar faces Neal is back on his feet and eager to get back to Henry and Emma. "Once Upon a Time" returns Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
