Nintendo of Japan has confirmed previous reports that the "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y" game have a major glitch that causes the Nintendo 3DS game to freeze when saving in Lumiose City. The rare, save-corrupting bug, has been reported to affect both the European and Japanese version of "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y." Nintendo has said that it is working on a fix that players should be able to download soon. The company has also produced a map showing the affected area.

The company released a map that shows exactly where not to save in order to avoid corrupting the game data. Although the map is in Japanese this should give you a general idea of where not to save the game. We have also added a secondary detailed map in English so you can exactly where the areas are and what they are by. This chart also confirms that the two roads leading off the outer ring to Vert Plaza and Bleu Plaza are also part of the glitch.

Pokemon has also said that it is ok to save your games progress while in any of the buildings such as the Pokemon Center. The company also revealed that it is working on a patch to fix this bug. It will arrive through the Nintendo eShop in the next few days.
