"The Carrie Diaries" season 2 premieres tonight on The CW and introduces Samantha Jones into Carrie Bradshaw's (Anna Sophia Robb) world. When we last saw Carrie in the freshman season finale, she was devastated after her friend Maggie (Katie Findlay) tells her that she kissed Sebastian (Austin Butler). Carrie cuts ties with Maggie and tells her that their friendship is over. Bradshaw decides to leave her hometown for the summer and move out with her friend Walt (Brendan Dooling) to Manhattan for the summer to live in Larissa's (Freema Agyeman) loft.

Season 2 picks up where the first season left off in the first episode titled "Win Some, Lose Some." Determined to make the most of her summer, Carrie agrees to a night on the town with Donna LaDonna (Chloe Bridges). But when Donna shows up with Sebastian, Carrie decides to go out on her own, and by a series of surprising events meets one of the greatest loves of her life, Samantha Jones (Lindsey Gort). Back in Castlebury, Mouse (Ellen Wong) shuts out Maggie when she sees her working at the country club, and Dorrit (Stefania Owen) has her own problems to contend with when Tom (Matt Letscher) finds out about her boyfriend Miller (Evan Crooks).

"The Carrie Diaries" is a teen drama and a prequel to the television series "Sex And The City" based on the book by Candace Bushnell. The show focuses on a teenaged Carrie during her junior year of high school during the 80s and her first encounters with one of her biggest loves, Manhattan. The first season was received with mixed reviews and the ratings were not favorable either. To spice things up for its sophmore season, writers are introducing Jones into Carrie's life via a connection with nemesis Donna Ladonna. "The Carries Diaries" season 2 premieres tonight on The CW at 8pm ET/PT. Watch a preview of "Win Some, Lose Some" down below and tell us what you think of this new season.
