Exciting news from the 2013 Brazil Game Show Press Conference today! At the SCEA press conference held in São Paulo, Brazil president of Ayrton Senna Institute, Vivane Senna, officially announced a long-term partnership with the "Gran Turismo" series. As part of the collaboration "Gran Turismo 6," which will release December 6, will feature the legendary Brazilian racing driver Ayrton Senna through online updates, enabling players to trace the roots of his racing career. A limited edition PlayStation 3 bundle including "Gran Turismo 6" will be released in Brazil.

In addition to special packaging featuring Senna and his signature, the "Gran Turismo 6" bundle will include 25 cars modified to enhance their racing characteristics and $1 million in in-game money. The announcement came as part of a bigger announcement between the "Gran Turismo" franchise and Ayrton Senna Institute. A percentage of the revenue of global sales of "Gran Turismo 6" will directly benefit the institute, Sony said, and the organization's efforts to help the children and young people of Brazil.

"For us, it's very special to have Ayrton as the main highlight of Gran Turismo 6. It represents victories that Brazil won far beyond just the sport. It's the Brazilian spirit, perseverance among challenges, and victory achieved through great effort. Ayrton also represents the creative intelligence, courage, and solidarity with friends and strangers. These are values that we Brazilians cultivate and saw represented in the figure of that champion, which added to this a meticulous technique," said Viviane Senna, sister to legendary race car driver Ayrton Senna.

The "Gran Turismo" creator Kazunori Yamauchi said Senna was his "greatest hero," and without him there might not be a "Gran Turismo" game. "Ayrton Senna has always been my hero, and I'm honored to be able to work as a partner with the Ayrton Senna Institute which has carried on his legacy. If it wasn't for Ayrton Senna, I don't think the video game, Gran Turismo, would ever have been developed. Nothing makes me happier than to relay the gratitude of Ayrton Senna Foundation, to all the players of Gran Turismo 6."
