Fiona slit Madison's throat in last week's episode of "American Horror Story:Coven" although now the Supreme witch is paid a visit from the Council of Witchcraft, who reminds her that murdering a witch is punishable by death! FX

So did Madison really die? I mean, can Fiona really just slit the throat of one of her daughter's students and that be it? While we know that Fiona is the Supreme witch of the Coven, we are not so sure that a gruesome murder right in Miss Robichaux's Academy will just go away. I don't think Fiona will be able to cover up the death of real life actress and closeted witch Madison Montgomery that easy, and even if she really did slice open her throat, is she really gone for good?

"You have to wait and see," teases Emma Roberts who plays Madison. Oh, "American Horror Story" how you've done it again. No one stays dead long in the Coven, with Zoe's new ability to give life, and Misty Day's power of resurrection, it seems impossible that Madison is truly down and out. But if she does return we are assuming that means she is not the next Supreme witch, which also means that Fiona's quest for power is still threatened.

But for "the baddest witch in town," the younger generation of the Coven may not be her only threat. On tonight episode, "Fearful Pranks Ensue" the Coven gets a surprise visit from The Council of Witchcraft. The powerful council comes bearing terrifying allegations that Fiona murdered Madison, to maintain her title of Supreme witch. And although they do not yet the proof they need to punish Fiona, they let her now just want the punishment for such a crime is. Any witch caught harming another witch will stripped, tied to a wooden stake and set upon fire until she burns to death." Uh oh, these are truly troubling times for Fiona, but let's not forget Madison isn't the first witch she has killed in cold blood.

"American Horror Story" continues tonight on FX with episode 4, "Fearful Pranks Ensue" at 10 p.m. EDT, will you be tuning in?
