“Big Little Lies” Season 2 will premiere on HBO next month. And the official trailer from the award-winning show has just been released.

1. New Cast Member And Director

During a recent interview with People, Kathryn Newton shared some details about “Big Little Lies.” The actress, who plays the role of Abigail Carson, said that she couldn’t hold back her excitement when she found out that Meryl Streep has joined the cast.

The actress received a tight hug from Streep the first time they met on the set of the hit series. Carson also had the opportunity to join the main characters of “Big Little Lies” for a dinner and said that she was just in awe watching them talk.

Carson, 22, also said that they have a new director for “Big Little Lies” Season 2. Andrea Arnold stirred the ship for Season 2, and Carson said that it’s an entirely different environment even though the cast still includes Nicole Kidman, Zoe Kravitz, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern and Shailene Woodley

2. More Drama

During the same interview, Carson also confirmed that there will be more drama in Season 2. Several emotional scenes are also featured in the trailer for “Big Little Lies.” At one point, Mary Louise (Streep) confronted Celeste (Kidman) and told her that she doesn’t believe her son slipped and died.

3. “It’s A Double Espresso”

During an interview with Deadline, Kidman teased the second season of “Big Little Lies” by saying that it’s not a latte but a double espresso. This suggests that viewers could get an intense rush while watching the episodes of the HBO series.

4. Who Will Be Convicted Of Murder?

The main focus of the second season of “Big Little Lies” is naming the person who killed Celeste’s husband, Perry (Alexander Skarsgard). Each of the five women would be interviewed. The trailer also shows them holding on to a number while being identified by a possible witness.
