'Boruto: Naruto The Movie' Trailer: Watch Teaser With Subtitles Featuring Bolt and Salada [VIDEO]

We still have a couple months until the upcoming "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" release date in August 7. The movie will be shown in Japanese theaters and will be available in select theaters in the United States later this year. If you've been following "Boruto" news, you'll know that the new movie's cover art design was revealed earlier this month, which features son Bolt standing in the foreground while Hokage Naruto is seen standing behind him.

"This Boruto movie features all new characters, starting everything from zero," said Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto in a special message. "It means, it still exists only in my head, who is the original creator. For the first time in this 11th Naruto movie, I wrote the screenplay all by myself, provided the ideas for character designs, refined them till I was satisfied, then discussed more with the staff seeking perfection."

"Boruto: Naruto the Movie" would be the first in-depth introduction to Boruto for most Naruto anime fans (manga fans will get to read "Naruto: Gaiden" this month). That said, the "Boruto" movie's tagline, "That's tacky, crappy old man," is already a very interesting clue to Boruto's personality. Besides Boruto, we will get to see Sasuke and Sakura's daughter Salada Uchiha as well. Boruto Uzumaki will be voiced by Yuko Sanpei. The voice actress also played the voice of Renton Thurston of "Eureka 7," and Cure Dream of "Yes! Precure 5." Next, Sarada Uchiha will be played by Kokoro Kikichu, who voiced Potpourri of "Heartcatch Precure!"

While official plot details have yet to be revealed, reports say "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will focus on Bolt and Salada. The story's time period will take place during the period following the great war, but "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" rumors suggest that an old character will make a major return. As a throwback to the original "Naruto" manga, the new movie is said to bring back the Orochimaru story arch. Just as Orochimaru tried to take Sasuke many years ago, this time he will target Boruto and Salada. It's said that Orochimaru's main motivation is to obtain the next vessel for immortaility and to also possess both the Sharingan and Byakugan abilities.
