Venezuelan pop duo Chino & Nacho has split up after 14 years making hit after hit. Jesús Alberto Miranda Pérez (Chino) and Miguel Ignacio Mendoza Donatti's (Nacho) manager Pablo Villalobos, announced their break up on February 24, 2017 citing solo careers break, after posting an image of him with Chino on Premio Lo Nuestro with a message that reads: "Everything started here, here everything finishes and here starts everything again."

With the post, Villalobos is confirming that he will continue managing Chino.

In an interview for the entertainment news show "El Gordo y La Flaca," Chino clarified their separation has nothing to with money issues, but a friendly decision so Nacho could spend more time with his family and Chino could explore other musical facets.

"Nacho, (who has a numerous family) asked me for a break. To stop the recordings for a specific time frame, and I told him, 'well, the bills keeps coming, I need to keep investing in business, I’m going to keep working,'" the 33-year-old singer revealed.

Recently, Chino recorded his first solo song and music video of "Quedate Conmigo" (Stay With Me) in collaboration with Wisin and Gente De Zona. "This is a party between friends. A great musical connection that we are giving to our fans. We hope you like it a lot because what we are doing here, is with our hearts," said the singer with a very enthusiastic tone.

Chino & Nacho recorded five albums from 2008 to 2015, and four of them were on the Top Latin Albums chart:

  • Época de Reyes (2008)
  • Mi Niña Bonita (2010)
  • Mi Niña Bonita: Reloaded (2010)
  • Supremo (2011)
  • Radio Universo (2015)

Most recently, "Andas En Mi Cabeza," featuring Daddy Yankee, became a top 10 hit in 2016.

Their last concert as a duo will be held the first week of March in Dominican Republic.
