NBC or Sony have yet to confirm it but "Community" show creator Dan Harmon is officially back to the show.

Sony Pictures Television declined to renew his contract between Community's third and fourth season and was replaced by Moses Port and David Guarascio after the network grew fed up with Harmon's overbearing management style. But it looks like the new guys couldn't maintain the same spark the first season brought.

Harmon and cast both took to twitter to celebrate the news, Harmon tweeting, "RT @dpeanutbutter: @danharmon GIVE US A STRAIGHT ANSWER! ~ Yes yes yes! I'm back I'm back I'm back. You can thank @joelmchale."

Jim Rash and Gillian Jacobs also took to their Twitter pages to welcome back Harmon. Gillian tweeting, "Welcome back, @danharmon! E Pluribus Anus!"

Rash tweeting, "Over the Greendale PA system and/or entering in a costume... Nice 2 dean u back, @danharmon!"

In regards to Harmon thanking Joel Mchale in his tweet it is because rumor has it several members of the cast were not happy with the season 4 script and pushed for Sony and NBC to bring back Harmon.

The show recently completed its fourth season on May 9th, though it's struggled to maintain much of its original charm since Harmon's departure. And recently was renewed by NBC. With the announcement of a new season rumors began to fly that Harmon would be brought back to the show.

Hitfix's Alan Sepinwell reports the deal isn't done just yet, but "signatures are a formality."
