A few years back, talks about a collaboration between Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato surfaced, which, unfortunately, did not materialize in the end. Today, those talks are back, and they seem to have been started by Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun.

Observers now suspect that a Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato collaboration could be in the works based on a few clues. KJ103 noted that Bieber’s manager posted a terse and enigmatic message on Twitter.

What’s interesting about the tweet, according to KJ103, is that Braun does not manage Lovato at all. Thus, he should not have bothered posting anything about the singer-actress unless there’s something going on behind the scenes.

There are two possibilities why Braun might have made the tweet. One is that Lovato might have decided to switch managers and, like Bieber, would soon be managed by Braun.

Another exciting possibility is that Demi Lovato might be featured on a track by one of the music artists managed by Braun. If this is the case, then there’s a good likelihood that it might be Bieber, considering that there were previous talks about him and Lovato planning to collaborate. Of course, another possibility is Lovato collaborating with Dan + Shay, a duo that is also managed by Braun.

Bieber is not shy on collaborating with other artists to produce a track or two. His most notable collaborative works include “Right Here” with Drake; “Beautiful” with Carly Rae Jepsen; “Beauty And A Beat” with Nicki Minaj; “Never Say Never” with Jaden Smith; “Somebody To Love (Remix)” with Usher; “Where Are Ü Now” with Skrillex and Diplo; “Sorry (Latino Remix)” with J Balvin; “I’m The One” with DJ Khaled, Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne; “Baby” with Ludacris; and “Despacito” with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.

Just like Bieber, Lovato is not averse to doing a collaborative work as well. For instance, she did “No Promises” with Cheat Codes, “Irresistible (Remix)” with Fall Out Boy, “Somebody To You” with The Vamps, “Instruction” with Jax Jones and Stefflon Don, “Up” with Olly Murs, “We Rock” with the cast of Camp Rock, “We'll Be A Dream” with We the Kings and “Without A Fight” with Brad Paisley.

In a 2013 interview, Lovato addressed why previous talks about her collaboration with Bieber did not push through. “It’s not the right direction I’m going anymore,” the singer said at that time.
