There is a reason sixteenth-century French seer Nostradamus is widely regarded as the greatest seer in human history. Back in his time, he published a book containing quatrains, predicting future tidings. More than 400 years later, his prophecies started reflecting real-world events — Hitler’s rise to power, the dawn of submarines, the assassination of Kennedy and possibly even the death of Princess Diana.

London astrologer Tadd Mann and Dna Smith picked out specific quatrains from Nostradamus’ book of prophecies and interpreted them as a foretelling of Princess Diana’s tragic death. Here are some of those quatrains, along with their interpretations.

1. “The penultimate son of the man with the Prophet’s name, will bring Diana to her day of rest; He will wander far because of a frantic head, delivering a great people from subjection”

In 1997, Princes Diana died in a tragic car crash with her boyfriend, Dodi Fayed, the second of Mohamed Al Fayed. According to Mann, Mohamed is the “man with the Prophet’s name” whom Nostradamus was referring to. It can be recalled that following their death, Mohamed went out of his way to prove that the British royal family had conspired to bring Princess Diana and his son’s death. This event opened the eyes of the subjected British royal public to the possible doings of the royals.

2. “The moon obscured in deep gloom, her brother becomes bright red in colour. The great one hidden for a long time in the shadows, will hold the blade in the bloody wound”

Man believes that the “moon” in this quatrain refers to Princess Diana, who suffered emotional torture throughout her marriage with Prince Charles. After her death, her brother, Earl Spencer, became “red in the face” for two reasons: he was angry at the paparazzi who had reportedly chased Diana to her death, and he had fallen out with his sister after accusing her of having mental issues. Mann also interprets “the great one hidden for a long time in the shadows” as the royal family, who are said to be secret members of Freemasonry.

3. “For the merry maid the bright splendor will shine no longer, for long will she be without salt; With merchants, bullies, wolves odious, all confusion universal monster”

Considering that Princess Diana was the most photographed woman and the most liked member of the royal family at the time, there is no doubt she’s “the bright splendor.” According to Mann, Nostradamus was referring to Princess Diana’s worth or value when he wrote “salt” because in the days of the ancient Romans, anything described as “salt” meant it had great worth.

Though the world saw Diana as a lady of great worth, it is said that in the eyes of the royal family and the people who allegedly conspired to kill her, she was nothing. The “merchants, bullies, wolves odious, all confusion universal monster” he said refer to the masonic Illuminati who were behind Princess Diana’s death, while “the universal monster” must be the million-dollar land mine businesses, which the princess banned when she was a royal wife.

4. “The rose upon the middle of the world, because of new deeds, public blood is shed; To speak the truth they will have closed mouths, then at a time of need the awaited one will come late”

When she was still the Princess of Wales, everybody saw Princess Diana as England’s rose. When the tragic car crash that led to her death happened, casual bystanders and paparazzi publicly witnessed her bloodshed. The line “at a time of need the awaited one will come late” refers to the two hours that Princess Diana had to spend bleeding inside the car before somebody even came to rescue her and bring her to the hospital.

5. “Quite a different man will attain to the great Empire, distant from kindness, more so from happiness; Ruled by one not long come from his bed, the kingdom rushes to great misfortune”

The British public has always seen Prince Charles as a cold, distant and unhappy man. Since the line that says “not long come from his bed” is an archaic way of describing an adulteress, Smith believes Nostradamus was referring to adulteress Camilla, the current Duchess of Cornwall, who had a secret love affair with Prince Charles during his marriage with Princess Diana. The last line, “the kingdom rushes to great misfortune,” foretells the future of the British monarchy if Prince Charles becomes king.
