One of the most beloved characters from the "El Señor De Los Cielos" saga is Mónica Robles, played by Fernanda Castillo. During the Season 4 finale of the series, she was shot in the back by police as she escaped authorities. Although not much is known about Season 5, we do know what happens to Mónica after the incident.
During the premiere episodes of "El Chema," the spin-off led by Mauricio Ochmann as the titular character, Rutila (Carmen Aub) talks about Robles. The daughter of Aurelio Casillas (Rafael Amaya) reveals that her friend is in a coma and fighting for her life. This means that Mónica is not dead yet and audiences will have to wait until the new season of the narco series returns to find out if she is able to get out of coma and survive to live another day.
Another character returning during Season 5 is "El Cabo" (Robinson Díaz), who had an affair with Mónica Robles. El Cabo was last seen during Season 3 of the narco series and is coming back for revenge. If you remember, Casillas killed his son after he betrayed the drug lord in going after his own family. His life was pardoned, but only so he could suffer with the loss of his son. The news of his return was confirmed by fellow actor Rafa Perrín, who will be working with Díaz on the “La Dama De Negro” play in Colombia.
