Photos of the alleged iPad Pro 2 have surfaced online over the weekend. To the disappointment of anticipating fans however, the pictures do not reveal anything new and remarkable about Apple’s new giant 12.9-inch tablet.

On Sunday, two photos of the upcoming iPad Pro 2, which according to AppleInsider were taken by an Apple Asian supply chain worker, were leaked online.

One photo shows the white version of the Apple tablet, while the other shows the black version. All of the texts on the display of the photographed iPads are in Chinese, supporting the claim that the images were from an Apple supply chain operating in China.

Proving the claim that the photos are of the iPad Pro 2, the model number found in the display of the devices is MH1C2CD/F — a code configuration that is not used by previously released iPad models.

Aside from revealing the model number of the new iPad Pro, the photos, which Phone Arena regarded as the first look at Apple’s new extra-large tablet, do not bring anything new to the table.

Still, this could be a good sign and a confirmation that Apple is indeed releasing a refresh of the iPad Pro after launching the largest Apple tablet in September of last year.

Because this is just the second iteration of the iPad Pro, analysts are claiming that it will still sport the 12.9-inch display found in its predecessor.

There are also rumors about a possible display quality upgrade, but nothing is set in stone in terms of this hardware modification. Many tech sites believe, however, that the iPad Pro 2 will be arriving with Apple’s new A10X processor to deliver optimum performance to users.

It is also worth noting that the A10X processor is the same one that the much-anticipated iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro will be rocking when they are launched and released in September, Geeky Gadgets reported.

Other specs and features that analysts are hoping to see in the iPad Pro 2 include a bigger RAM, a more powerful and enhanced camera and the True Tone display technology that the 9.7-inch iPad Pro is sporting.

There is no word yet on the possible launch date of the iPad Pro 2, but tech review sites and analysts are guessing that it will not be unveiled alongside the iPhone 7 devices, since production for it will only commence in the last week of September.
