It is always refreshing to see separated celebrities keeping things friendly for the sake of their children. A good example of this are Gaby Espino and Jencarlos Canela.

On Sunday, Espino sent a heartfelt Father’s Day message to the father of her son Nickolas.

“THANK YOU for so much @jencarlosmusic… Thank you for being the dad you are to our children,” she wrote on social media. “And even though you have everything on top of you always, there you are for them every single day of their lives!”

She added, “Thank you for being my partner in this, this was definitely our mission…I love you. Happy Father’s Day!”

Although Canela did not reply to the tweet, he has previously stated that things are very amicable between him and his ex.

During an interview with Telemundo’s “Suelta La Sopa,” the Cuban singer addressed Espino’s new relationship with actor Arap Bethke, and once again confirmed that there are no hard feelings between them.

“I really don’t know that much,” the “Baby” performer said. “But obviously she is my friend and seeing her happy, and well, and in love, and moving on, I trust her one hundred percent and this to me is great happiness.”

Canela, who was recently romantically linked to Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez, confessed he is currently single and open to starting a new relationship.

“I don’t have a ‘baby’ right now but I am ready for love,” he revealed. “I am enjoying my bachelor days but when love arrives and knocks on your door, you have to open it without thinking about it twice and take full advantage of it.”

Canela and Espino met on the set of “Más Sabe El Diablo” in 2009. In 2011, they confirmed their relationship during a live chat session on Twitter. On August 26, 2014, they turned to social media once again to announce they had decided to go separate ways.
