Last year, Scarlett Johansson starred as Lucy in the original action movie of the same name. Next month, the actress will return as Black Widow in the latest Marvel movie "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Now, the beautiful Scarlett Johansson has announced that her next role in "Ghost in the Shell" will begin filming next year.
Scarlett Johansson confirmed her lead role in an upcoming "Ghost in the Shell" movie, which will be directed by Rupert Sanders of "Snow White and the Huntsman" fame. According to reports, there has been talks about a live-action "Ghost in the Shell" for nearly six years. If all goes according to plan, Walt Disney Pictures expects the movie to release April, 2017, a week after Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim 2."
“It’s happening. It will be shooting the beginning of next year, so I think we start production January or February," says Scarlett Johansson. "It’s me and Rupert [Sanders]; and that’s all I know.”
