Only days after Apple's exciting presentation of the brand-new Apple Watch, the tech company is now dealing with a challenging day: iTunes, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store has been down for all users worldwide. The outage occurred Wednesday morning at approximately 1:30 p.m. ET. In total, theglobal Apple iTunes outage affects more than 800 million linked with credit cards.

According to reports, disgruntled Apple users have reported the outage since Tuesday night. No doubt, Apple has been scrambling to fix the issue all day the mobile store is one of the most profitable services in the world and make up a huge part of Apple's revenue.

"We apologize to our customers experiencing problems with iTunes and other services this morning," explained Apple in a recent statement on Wednesday. "The cause was an internal DNS error at Apple. We’re working to make all of the services available to customers as soon as possible, and we thank everyone for their patience."

According to IGN, the outage could mean that Apple is losing as much as $2.2 million USD every hour that iTunes and the App Store is down. The root cause of the digital outage is unknown. What's more, iCloud Mail and iCloud sign-in functionality was also lost until just before 9 a.m. ET.
