With over 10 years in the business, J Balvin is no new face in the game! The Colombian singer stepped into international spotlight with his hits "Yo Te Lo Dije" (2012) and "6 AM" ft. Farruko (2013) and has since nabbed many awards, including a Latin Grammy.

Building bonds with artists such as Justin Bieber and David Guetta, Balvin is slowly but surely making an impact on the English-language market as well. His new studio album, "Energía," which launched Friday, is all the proof you need that Balvin is changing the game in the reggaeton industry.

Prior to the launch of his fourth studio album, the 31-year-old urban singer dropped four singles. The first one being "Ginza," followed by "Bobo," and then launching "Malvada" and "Safari" ft. Pharrell Williams at the same time. These tracks are a small taste of how infectious Balvin's new production is. To give you a better idea, here are seven reasons this is Balvin's best album yet.

1) New generation of reggaeton
"This is reggaeton from the point-of-view of J Balvin and my team," said Balvin to Latin Times at an exclusive listening party in Miami. "This album demonstrates the new generation of reggaeton."

2) Lots of great energy
For Balvin, everything is energy. "My last album was called 'La Familia.' Not everyone has a family, but everyone has energy," he said. "I'm always sending positive energy with my posts and encouraging people to follow their dreams."

3) Hot collaborations
The album includes collaborations with Pharrell, BIA, Yandel, Fuego and Daddy Yankee. "It's the first time Daddy Yankee and I sing together. It's an honor that he accepted to be in my album, he's been my mentor and biggest inspiration," Balvin told Latin Times.

4) Juanes is also in the album
Although Juanes is not one of the collaborators in the album, Balvin did specify that the Colombian pop star is part of one of the tracks. "My compatriot Juanes did the guitar in this song, it's a different journey," he said of the romantic ballad on the album, "No Hay Titulo."

5) Fresh sounds
Unlike "La Familia," which was reggaeton all day, every day, "Energía" has fresh, new sounds. The singer expressed how he got out of his comfort zone and dared to try new things. The results are mind-blowing as Balvin experiments with other genres such as rap, pop and old-school reggaeton.

6) Changing the game
"This album is going to change the perception that Latinos in general have in the music business and it's going to open many doors," he said of working with people that have worked with top-notch artists such as The Weekend. "Latinos deserve the best," he added.

7) The Snapchat song
If you are addicted to Snapchat as is Balvin, then you are in for a real treat as the last track on the album is called "Snapchat." The hip hop jam is dedicated to the social media app and according to Balvin could possibly become his next single.
