Bayer Leverkusen has no intention of selling top scorer player Mexican Javier Hernandez “Chicharito” according to chief executive Michael Schade. The forward has been a revelation in the Bundesliga since Real Madrid moved permanently to Bayer Leverkusen in August 2015. Hernandez has scoring 13 goals in 17 appearance and firing the club into the top three. Schade has claimed the club may be forced into listening to offers for their star centre-forward Javier Hernandez, with Liverpool rumored to be interested in bringing him back to the Premier League.

“First of all, he has a contract; his move to us has shown that he is not only after the money. Javier Hernandez has never said that he wants to leave. He feels comfortable because he knows he is appreciated. We are a team that allows him to play, he has benefited greatly from the style we play and from playing with his teammates. He will help us, but we also help him.” Michael Schade said.

Chief conceded that while they do not want to let key players leave, if a big money offer does come in, then it’s something they will have to consider. “As of today, we do not want to sell any player, we want to keep the team together and improve. But we are a commercial company and there are thresholds. If such exorbitant bids come in, we will examine them and see what they bring us.”

On August 31, 2015 it was announced Javier “Chicharito” Henandez signed a three-year contract with Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen for an undisclosed fee, reportedly £7.3 million. Hernandez was handed the number 7 instead of the number 14 jersey he typically wore, which was being used by Admir Mehmedi. Since then, chicharito has been a revelation in the Bundesliga. Inevitably, Shade is in no mood to sell, though, and believes Leverkusen is the perfect match for the 27 year old forward.
