Justin Bieber recently revealed that he attended a therapy session in order to have a healthy mind and healthy emotions. Bieber updated his fans regarding his whereabouts on Wednesday via his Instagram Stories. Even though the “Baby” singer did not attend the therapy session with his wife, Hailey Baldwin, it is evident that having a healthy mind could also benefit their new marriage.

In the past, the pop star said that tending to his mental health came from his desire to sustain his marriage to Baldwin and to live up to the expectations that he had created for himself as a future dad.

The award-winning singer has also been seeking treatment for depression since February of last year, and he has also been candid about prioritizing his mental health. And just one week after announcing that he would be taking a step back from his music career, Bieber decided to focus his attention on his mental health.

On Monday, the singer addressed his fans after they asked him when he would release a new album. “So, I read a lot of messages saying that you want an album … I’ve toured my whole teenage life and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that,” he posted.

“You pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour,” Bieber added.

Bieber last went on tour to promote his “Purpose” album, but he canceled some of his performances in 2017 after 18 months of live shows due to extreme exhaustion. During his and Baldwin’s interview with Vogue this month, Bieber opened up for the first time about suffering from depression during his tour. He said that he’s still processing a lot of things because everything that he experienced was quite new to him.

“I was lonely. I needed some time,” he said. But three years ago, Bieber said that he had been diagnosed with ADHD.
