Members of the royalty such as Queen Elizabeth II and Kate Middleton are usually in their best, polished selves when facing the public — regal, dignified, with just the right touch of compassion thrown into the mix. But despite their royal bearing and training, they are just humans like the rest. And if the situation gets too trying, they will snap. Here are a few instances of royal tempers flaring up.

Kate Middleton Scolds Prince George

The Duchess of Cambridge is a very hands-on mom. So it won’t come as a surprise to fans who have been following her to know that she also does the disciplining of those cute but sometimes naughty ones herself.

One incident happened during the 2017 wedding of her sister, Pippa Middleton. She was seen lecturing the young Prince George, who even shed some tears. The reason was that the young prince was playing behind the bride’s wedding dress while also shaking out his flower basket. Of course, the duchess was having none of this behavior, especially since she was also bringing little Princess Charlotte along. But typical of any young child, George soon forgot being scolded and quickly reverted to his usual happy self.

Prince Harry Lost His Cool In Morocco

Just very recently, Prince Harry also lost his cool when he and Meghan Markle toured Morocco in February. The royal couple was sampling the local cuisine, and the prince was cheering a little Moroccan girl and even gave her the chef’s hat. However, a cameraman covering the event accidentally knocked the child with his equipment, and the prince promptly told him to back off.

The Queen Scolded Prince William And Peter Phillips

The story was narrated by Prince William himself in the documentary titled “The Queen At 90.” The Duke of Cambridge recalled a childhood incident where he was playing with cousins Peter Phillips and Zara that resulted in an accident, which was unfortunately witnessed by no less than their grandmother, the Queen. Naturally, they received a mighty, royal scolding.

“[Peter Phillips and I] were chasing Zara around who was on a go-cart, and [we] managed to herd Zara into a lamppost and the lamppost came down and nearly squashed her,” Prince William explained. “And I remember my grandmother being the first person out at Balmoral to come running across the lawn in her kilt. She came charging over and gave us the most almighty telling off, and that sort of stuck in my mind from that moment on.”
