Diego Torres is having one heck of a week following a big announcement he made on Twitter. "It's an honor to enter the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame next to great colleagues," he expressed to his nearly four million followers.

The Argentine singer, songwriter, musician, actor, and three times winner of the Latin Grammy Award is one of the six artists who will form part of La Musa Awards 2015 Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Another artist who will take the honor on October 15 in Miami, Fla. during the 3rd annual event is Emilio Estefan, a 19 time Grammy Award-winning producer, composer and musician, who has opened the doors to some of Latin music's biggest stars such as Shakira, Marc Anthony and Carlos Vives.

The other four inductees to the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame include Hector Ochoa Cardenas, Myriam Hernandez, Gustavo Santoalalla and Alvaro Torres.

According to the official website, the Latin Songwriters Hall Of Fame "mission is to educate, preserve, honor and celebrate the legacy of the greatest Latin songwriters from all over the world and their music in every genre while developing and inspiring new songwriters through workshops, showcases, scholarships and digital initiatives."

Past artists to receive such honor --some of which are posthumous inductees-- are: Manuel Alejandro, Jose Angel Espinoza, Jose Feliciano, Julio Iglesias, Armando Manzanero, Concha Valdes Miranda, Roberto Cantoral, Omar Alfanno, Rafael Perez Botija, Lolita de la Colina, Gloria Estefan, Carlos Gardel, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Violeta Parra, Ernesto Lecuona, Agustín Lara and Rafael Hernández Marín.
