With Pitbull hosting, Jennifer Lopez performing and many Latin artists winning big (such as Enrique Iglesias, Marc Anthony), it's about time the American Music Awards get its own Hispanic version and what better home than Telemundo? The network, which recently aired the 2015 Premios Tu Mundo and the successful Billboard Latin Music Awards, announced that it will debut the first-ever Latin American Music Awards in the fall.

The awards show will honor today's most influential and iconic Latin artists, as voted by the fans in the traditional format of the American Music Awards ---the world’s biggest fan-voted award show. Though the list of hosts, presenters and performers are yet to be announced, the Latin American Music Awards promises a two-hour show featuring performances by chart-topping talent in both English and Spanish, with a one-hour red carpet pre-show special.

The full list of nominees will be announced on September 2nd, and fans from the U.S. and Puerto Rico will be able to place their vote on world class artists. Tickets will also go on sale September 2nd through Ticketmaster and the Dolby Theater box office.

The Latin American Music Awards will air October 8 live from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California via Telemundo.
