A man reportedly got attacked and brutally stabbed by a woman he met on a dating app in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday, Oct 3.

Officers reportedly received a 911 call regarding a stabbing incident and responded to the victim's apartment complex located in Gables Midtown in Monroe Drive NE at around 5:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct 3 morning. When the officers responded to the scene, they made a gruesome discovery and found the victim bleeding due to a stab wound, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The victim reportedly told the officers that he had met up with a woman he recently met on a dating app. When the victim met the woman at his apartment, she demanded that he send her some money. Following this, the woman pulled out a knife, lunged at him, and stabbed him with the weapon.

The victim, who suffered stab injuries in the attack, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. The victim underwent treatment for his stab wounds and is currently recovering, WFTV Channel 9 reported.

The details regarding whether the victim gave the suspect the money she demanded or how seriously he was injured in the attack are currently unclear.

The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Antanina Piatruchyk, was arrested at the scene without incident. She was charged with aggravated assault and is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail.

No further information has been released by the officers. The incident is currently under investigation.

In a similar but unrelated incident, a woman was allegedly raped in a hotel room by a man she met on an online dating app in Dwarka, Southwest Delhi, India, Latin Times reported.

The 28-year-old victim claimed that she first met the suspect, a resident of Hyderabad, on a dating app. After chatting for a while, they reportedly decided to meet each other in person. However, while meeting with the accused on May 30, the victim accompanied the suspect to a hotel where she was allegedly sexually assaulted by the man.

After the incident, the accused allegedly stopped picking up her calls. 

Following this, the woman filed a police complaint against the suspect on June 3 and officers launched an investigation into the incident.
