The Maestro Cares Foundation held its second annual “Changing Lives, Building Dreams” Gala on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. At the black tie dinner, hosted by the Bravo network's “Million Dollar Listing” star Luis Ortiz, co-founders Marc Anthony and Henry Cárdenas honored three individuals that have made significant contributions to the well-being of children and are actively involved with other charitable causes worldwide. The Community Hero Award was presented to World Golf Hall of Fame Inductee and Co-Founder of The Chi Chi Rodriguez Foundation, Chi Chi Rodriguez. Meera T. Ghandi, CEO and Founder of The Giving Back Foundation was honored with the Global Humanitarian Award; and the honor for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility was bestowed to Marcelo Claure, CEO of Sprint Corporation.

“We are thrilled to have hosted the second annual Maestro Cares “Changing Lives, Building Dreams” Gala in New York, and honor three extraordinary individuals that have devoted so much of their time to the welfare of many children in numerous parts of the world. Hosting this event in my hometown makes the occasion even more special and I cannot wait to share our organization’s progress with all of our attendees,” expressed Marc Anthony. Meanwhile, Cárdenas added: “It is amazing to look back at where Maestro Cares Foundation was only one year ago. In April 2014 we inaugurated our first project, an orphanage that is home to over 50 boys in the Dominican Republic; our second project is currently under construction in Barranquilla Colombia; and three new projects are ready to launch in 2015 in México, Perú and Puerto Rico. None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our partners and donors.” The evening featured a cocktail reception, dinner, live performance by Marc Anthony and silent auctions.
