The Marvel and Netflix series "Luke Cage" will reportedly be previewed at San Diego Comic-Con in July, according to Deadline. According to the site, series star Mike Colter will be at the show alongside showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker as well as co-stars Alfre Woodward and Theo Rossi, and they will show a sneak peek footage from the coming Netflix series.

Colter first appeared as the Marvel superhero in Netflix's "Jessica Jones" series, however, the actor does not consider "Luke Cage" as a sequel to hers. Back in January, Colter talked with reporters at the winter Television Critics Association press tour where he opened up about his show saying it will not be a spinoff or sequel to "Jessica Jones."

"We pride ourselves in all being unique shows, and Luke Cage is definitely not a sequel to Jessica Jones or a spinoff, because it was already originally was supposed to be a show, and it so happens that you can't tell her story without telling Luke Cage's story," Colter told reporters.

He continued, "The show that we're filming now, Marvel's Luke Cage as opposed to Marvel's Jessica Jones, is completely different. He goes off to uptown and he does his own thing, and there will be some of that. The time lapse is not that long, and so it's not like Jessica Jones never happened. I think in the world of Jessica Jones, what I enjoyed about being in that world as Luke Cage is that I wasn't front and center."

"Marvel's Luke Cage" stars Colter as Luke, Mahershala Ali as Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Theo Rossi as Shades, Frank Whaley as Rafael Scarfe, and Sônia Braga as Soledad Temple. We are also expected to see Rosario Dawson make an appearance as Claire Temple.

Comic-Con will take place in San Diego from July 21 - 24.

All episodes of "Marvel's Luke Cage" will premiere Sept. 30 on Netflix.
