Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will reportedly move to Africa after the birth of their baby. One of the reasons for their surprising decision may have something to do with Princess Diana.

Bridie Pearson-Jones, a journalist for Daily Mail, claimed that some palace insiders are worried that Meghan would eventually become bigger than the late Princess of Wales. In order to prevent this from happening, Meghan and Prince Harry will be sent to another country to keep them out of the limelight for a bit.

“They sent them down to Frogmore to try to keep them out of the limelight for a bit,” a source said. “This is doomed to fail. They are worried that Harry and Meghan are going to establish a totally separate enterprise that nobody can get under control,” the source added.

The insider added that there have been talks within the palace on how they could harness the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the tremendous global attention that they have been getting for months. The goal is to be able to find a way to draw the royal couple back because laying them down and ticking them off has not worked.

Meanwhile, the insider also noted the fact that Meghan had already been working with charities like World Vision even before she started dating Prince Harry. This suggests that the “Suits” alum has already envisioned herself as a global humanitarian, just like Angelina Jolie.

If the plans will push through, Meghan and Prince Harry would be staying in Africa for two to three years, and they will partake in a bespoke international job where they could utilize their status. Before a decision would be made, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would first be allowed to settle at Frogmore Cottage with their child.

Rumors about Meghan and Prince Harry moving to Australia and Canada have been debunked. Meghan previously lived in Canada while filming for “Suits.” Australia has also been rejected because this could “effectively set them up as king and queen of a whole separate country.” Africa remains to be a top choice for the couple’s overseas destination because the country holds a special place in their hearts.
