Nat Geo Mundo unveiled a preview of its programming that incorporates original programs produced in Spanish. The announcement was made prior to the "Further Front" presentation of the National Geographic upfront at Lincoln Center in New York.

The channel present new series and new seasons of already consolidated series, documentaries on wildlife and a great offer of original programming to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with the attending of famous personalities like Morgan Freeman, Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Geoffrey Rush, Emily Watson, Johnny Flynn, Dr. Jane Goodall, Jane Lynch, Jason Ritter, among others.

“Each year, Nat Geo Mundo builds on its commitment to Latino audiences, offering premium content that is bold, distinctive and relevant to the U.S. Hispanic market. And this year will be no different.” said Courteney Monroe, CEO of National Geographic Global Networks.

Mexican singer-songwriter Alex Syntek will return to the screen with new episodes of “Asombrosamente”, brain-stimulating in the style of the Brain Games series. National Geographic Explorers Fabio Amador and Andres Ruzo team up with top Mexican archaeologists to explore ancestral sites in Mexico in Misterios del Inframundo and the feature documentary Those on the Other Side examines the cultural divide between San Diego and Tijuana.

Nat Geo Mundo will also simulcast some of National Geographic’s highest-profile series, including the recently announced scripted war drama The Long Road Home, starring Kate Bosworth, Jason Ritter and Jeremy Sisto. The network will also broadcast season two of the popular sci-fi series MARS in addition to One Strange Rock, the mind-bending thrilling journey from filmmaker Darren Aronofsky.
