Ninel Conde is allegedly not welcome in the island of Puerto Rico after her negative remarks toward Johnny Lozada on "Mira Quién Baila." Conde was a judge on the dancing competition and during a round where Lozada had a regional Mexican dance number, Ninel told he he needed to look more macho. "From when she started attacking Johnny and when she told him that he was not macho, that comment was not taken well here [Puerto Rico]," reporter Damaris Quiñones told Ventaneando. Now the "Bombón Asesino" singer is considered a "persona non grata" according to the Puerto Rican journalist, "Ninel Conde is banned, completely banned. Here in Puerto Rico she is nothing."

Johnny Lozada, who is host of daytime talk show "Despierta América," ultimately won the competition and took home the prize. The cameras of morning show "Hoy" caught up with the reality show judge and questioned her about her not being welcomed in Puerto Rico. "I don't know, I really have no idea," she said. "Whatever I had to say I already clarified it and I really don't want to make a big fuss over something that has no importance in my life, it is not significant. It was only important to clear things up but alas, there is no need to go in circles about something that doesn't matter, that doesn't go anywhere."

At the time of the negative remarks, Conde called Lozada out for victimizing himself to gain more votes. "What happened is that this young man, Jonny, came up with this very valid strategy like any other competitor," she told "Hoy" in a previous interview. "What he did was to victimize himself a little bit, asking for help from his people and Puerto Rico has a strong audience that defends their artists." Lozado in turn replied to the "macho" comment saying, "What I didn't like was that it was a little racist with the Mexicans y and it was a little ugly."
