"GTA V"s PC release date has been eagerly anticipated: and now it seems we may only have to wait til next year. SidTech suggests that there is evidence pointing to a 2014 release date of this popular game's PC version. A new AMD Catalyst driver is being released - the new driver contains evidence of GTA 5 coming to PC soon. The AMD Catalyst driver comes with support for GTA5.exe - this would suggest that a GTA 5 PC version is well in the works. Rockstar hasn't commented on these rumors, but if previous GTA releases are anything to go by, its likely that the game will become available in 6-8 months.
GTA V PC's imminent release is also supported by the fact that several stores have made a GTA steam key available for pre-order ahead of a summer 2014 launch. "The pre-orders tell us that those who pre-order will have to wait for summer next year for the release," reads the report published by SidTech. "We take the summer to mean somewhere between July and September 2014...You do have to take this with a pinch of salt as at the moment Rockstar have not spoken up about a release date."
Anticipation for the GTA V PC version is higher than ever: an online petition has over 600,000 signiatures. Rockstar hasn't revealed why there is no news for a PC release, but some speculation points to the fact that piracy has been such a problem for PC versions in the past that the gaming company does not want to take any chances. However, it also likely that building the speculation and rumor around a PC release date is just a very clever marketing move.
