Oscar De La Hoya is in legal trouble after he was arrested in the city of Pasadena, California, for suspicion of drunk driving. When the boxing champ was stopped by police he was directed to perform sobriety tests, which he failed.

"A Land Rover was seen speeding on Del Mar Blvd. west of Arroyo Blvd. with mechanical violations," according to ABC News, via an incident report by CHP. "The vehicle was subsequently pulled over and the driver was advised of the reason for the stop. While speaking with the driver of the vehicle, the investigating officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from inside the vehicle. The driver was asked to exit the vehicle."

"While the investigating officer talked with the driver outside of the vehicle, he continued to detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the driver's breath and person. The driver was shown and demonstrated a series of field sobriety tests. The driver agreed to the tests and failed to perform them as shown and demonstrated. The driver was arrested."

De La Hoya has a history of substance abuse. In 2013 he checked himself into rehab and released a public statement about the matter: "Canelo Alvarez and I have big fights coming up this weekend. His is the ring and mine in treatment. I will not be at the fight this Saturday to cheer Canelo to victory since I have voluntarily admitted myself into a treatment facility. I explained this to Canelo and he understood that my health and longterm recovery from my disease must come first."
