Parents in Colombia are no happy campers with "Peppa Pig" and they are out to do something about it. Earlier this week, various news publications in Latin America revealed that Colombian parents are hating on the adorable piggy for supposedly being a bad influence on their kids.
According to Terra, parents in Colombia's department Tolima are fed up with the popular kids show and are joining forces to create an "Anti Peppa" march with the intention to boycott the cartoon from airing on nacional television. Outraged moms and dads believe that Peppa is not an inspirational character because she argues with her brother, she's not very intelligent and she never eats her vegetables.
If that's not enough, parents are allegedly upset because their kids are refusing to eat Lechona, a popular pork dish in Tolima. "I prohibited my kids from watching the show since the day my kids began to cry when we were serving lechona for lunch," said parent Jorge Gonzalez, who joined the cause. But really, who could blame the kiddies for loving Peppa so much? We, on the other hand, are teaming up with Colombian children and hoping this chisme is not true!
