Nintendo's latest Pokémon giveaway has offically gone live. As part of its 20th anniversary, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have decided to launch a year long giveaway for some of the rarest Pokémon out there.

Jirachi is one of the eleven mythical Pokémon that will be distrubed. The first Pokémon to kick off the even was the rarest of all, Mew. Followed by the Psychic and Grass type Pokémon Celebi in March. Getting your hands on this Jirachi is quite easy. Trainers can get the mythical Pokémon by connecting to the Internet and using the "Mystery Gift" option on their Pokémon game. Be aware that you can only download one Jirachi per Pokémon game. And make sure you act fast as this is the first time Jirachi has been available in the US since 2010, reports Comicbook.com.

Jirachi, which is known as the Wish Pokémon, was one of two mythical Pokémon to first appear in the third generation games. Originally, players could only get a Jirachi by transferring the Pokémon from a bonus disc that came with the GameCube title "Pokémon" to their copy of "Pokémon Ruby" and "Pokémon Sapphire."

This Psychic and Steel type Pokémon has its own signature move, Doom Desire, which does an extraordinary amount of damage two turns after the move is used. Jirachi will come at level 100 with the three moves: Wish, Confusion and Rest.

Meanwhile, three of the four legendary Regi Pokémon will be available as special event Pokémon for a limited time. The only way to receive these Pokémon is to have access to the Pokémon Bank. To obtain these legendary mon, select the Pokémon Link option from the main menu of your "Pokémon X," "Pokémon Y," "Pokémon Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" titles and the Pokémon will be sent to a box in your game. The company is distributing one mythical Pokémon per month as part of its year long anniversary celebration. Trainers can receive Jirachi through April 24, so go grab yours today.
