Merging Latin rhythms with electronic sounds to create a unique and fresh tune, Venezuelan-born rising star, Dayan, released her debut single as a solo artist, “Love Connection,” featuring Yashua, launching at the same time a new phase in her career.
The single release is accompanied by the video premiere. Shot in Denver, Colorado, the video was directed by Cutino Films. The film is a road trip showcasing the most beautiful locations in Denver. A fun video where we see Dayan and Yashua surrounded by natural beauty, having fun and dancing in a paradise where only they exist.
The 22-year-old artist shared with Latin Times how her latest hit was created, how her loyal fans have accepted her, her new audience with this musical career, and much more. "December 1 was the release of my collaboration with Yashua and the immediate response was incredible," says Dayan. "We shot the video in Colorado and the production is from MadMusick."
After being part of the successful duo DanyDayan, with her brother Dany Sierralta, both decided it was time to pursue their solo careers. That’s how during the past two years, Dayan, whose real name is Jessica Dayana Sierralta, has focused on launching her solo career, crafting her own sound, a fusion of Latin, urban, pop and electronic rhythms.
"The disintegration of the duo was something that we already had thought," said the singer. "As siblings we already had the dream of making our own music separately. It wasn’t because of selfishness but because we all have different tastes and we both wanted to venture into different genres, and when the time came, we did it and everything turned out very well." Dayan also told Latin Times that she considers herself a girl "without limits" and "without fears" and that just like pop music, she is colorful and full of life.
Like every singer, Dayan dreamt of making more collaborations and sharing her music with more people. "I would love to collaborate with Shakira," she revealed. "If she says 'choose the genre' I would go for the style she used to do before, the one she started with, like 'Pies Descalzos.'”
The singer doesn’t rule out the possibility of undertaking in the world of fashion, and after studying accessory design, she would like to create her own jewelry line. Dayan kicks off her promo tour in Miami, Orlando and New York City. The multifaceted artist is poised to become the next international Pop star.
