But other members of royalty do exist outside the realm of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, and they are equally fascinating.

Similar to the British royal family, they are also living the fairytale lives and glamor. The only difference is that they are hailed from South America and Latin blood runs in them.

Queen Letizia Of Spain

Not technically a princess or a duchess but something more, Queen Letizia is not royalty by birth but married to one, King Felipe VI of Spain, who ascended to the throne in 2014. Part of her role as queen is to represent her father-in-law, King Juan Carlos, in international engagements. Letizia was a commoner who worked as a journalist before marrying the King of Spain.

Princess Alessandra Of Hanover

Another commoner who captured the heart of a prince is Alessandra de Osma. Princess Alessandra of Hanover married Prince Christian of Hanover last year. The two met when Alessandra served as Prince Christian’s tour guide in Peru, the princess’ hometown.

Before marrying the Prince, Alessandra earned a living as a model and lawyer. Alessandra is often compared to Kate in terms of looking stylish. It just so happens that the princess’ favorite designer is also one of Duchess Kate’s favorite.

Princess Tatiana Of Greece And Denmark

Born in Venezuela, Princess Tatiana is married to Prince Nikolaos, who is the son of the last King and Queen of Greece before the monarchy was abolished in 1973. Tatiana is an aristocrat who graduated with a degree in sociology from Georgetown University and studied again for a public relations degree in Switzerland.

Duchess María Margarita Of Anjou

María Margarita of Anjou is married to Louis Alphonse of Bourbon, Duke of Anjou. The duchess, born in Caracas, Venezuela, is the daughter and heiress of Banco Occidental de Descuento (BOD) (or Western Bank of Discount (WBD)) owner Víctor José Vargas Irausquín. She is often a featured royalty in the magazine ¡Hola.

Princess Ángela Of Liechtenstein

Apparently, Prince Harry and Meghan is not the only interracial couple among the royalty. Ángela Gisela Brown Burke, a commoner of Afro-Latin origin, married Prince Maximilian of Liechtenstein, a small country between Switzerland and Australia, back in 2000. Angela is the first European princess of African descent.
