Ronda Rousey stopped by “The Ellen Show” on Tuesday and showed America a side of her we’ve never seen before. During her chat with host Ellen DeGeneres, Rousey opened up for the first time on television about her loss to Holly Holm and, in tears, told Ellen about what she went through after being rushed to the hospital after being knocked out cold at UFC 193.

“No, to be honest, like, what I was thin…Like, my…Honestly, my thought, I was like, in the medical room and I was down in the corner. I was sitting in the corner and I was like, ‘What am I anymore if I’m not this?’ and I was literally sitting there and like, thinking about killing myself in that exact second, and I’m like ‘I’m nothing. What do I do anymore? And no one gives a sh*t about me anymore without this,’ the 28-year-old told Ellen. “And to be honest, I looked up and I saw my man. Travis was standing there and I looked up at him and I was just like, ‘I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive.’ And really, that was it.”

During an exclusive interview with ESPN back in December, Rousey mentioned she was “really f*ing sad” but assured that even though she was down at the moment, she was definitely not out for good. At the time, the California native was still recovering from the horrible impact.

“Well, I got clipped in the first exchange. So, I was knocked out on my feet like the first time I got hit,” Rousey reminisced during her interview with Ellen. “It’s hard to really know what’s going on. So, in that first hit I cut open my whole mouth and I got my teeth lose. You know, guys fight for five 5-minute rounds and they are teeing off each other’s faces the whole time and nothing like that happens. It was just destiny, and it had to go down that way.”

Days after being discharged from the hospital, the former UFC bantamweight champion and undefeated mixed martial arts fighter addressed her fans and supporters and thanked them for asking about her wellbeing, “I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support. I appreciate the concern about my health, but I’m fine. As I had mentioned before, I’m going to take a little bit of time, but I’ll be back.”
