'La Tierra Prometida' and 'Rosario Tijeras'
The Brazilian production is set to take the time slot that "Rosario Tijeras" has now and will be competing with "El Señor de los Cielos" on Telemundo. Record/Azteca

Univision dropped a bombshell when they revealed that "La Tierra Prometida" was premiering on August 7 at 10pm/9c, the time slot that is currently occupied by "Rosario Tijeras" at the moment. The latter Azteca production has less than a month airing on the Spanish-language network, but it seems that executives are not happy with the ratings up until now. "El Señor de los Cielos" that airs on Telemundo consistently doubles its audience and it also doesn't help that "Rosario" is the one that ranks lowest in ratings.

"La Tierra Prometida" is a production by Record from Brazil and a sequel to "Los Diez Mandamientos" that aired on UniMás with much success. Univision is betting on the sequel to "Moses" to gain an edge over the rival network and solidify it's primetime block. As of this moment there's no word of what will happen to the Bárbara del Regil series, if it's moving within Univision to another time slot, if it's moving to sister network UniMás, if it's being canceled or completely, or if it's going to run on the UnivisionNow streaming platform. We have reached out to the network for comment but we didn't receive a response at the time of publishing this piece.
