Modern-day princesses Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have captured people with their beauty, grace and impeccable style. But Kate and Meghan are not the only princesses to admire. Meet Princess Alessandra of Hanover.

Born as Alessandra de Osma, the princess is the daughter of Hermes executive Felipe de Osma Berckemeyer and former model Elizabeth Foy Vásquez. Despite being a commoner, Alessandra originated from a prominent Peruvian political family. She has big names behind her.

While being born with a silver spoon in her mouth, Alessandra still made a name for herself. She earned her law degree at the University of Lima and fashion and business management at the University of Navarra. She also earned a master’s degree in fashion from San Silvestre School.

The princess created and launched her fashion brand called Moi & Sass with co-founder Moira Laporta. Prior to her fashion brand and law practice, she was a model. At the age of 16, she was cast in Ford Models in New York. She also modeled for Missoni and Bottega Veneta and became a model for Pepsi in Latin America.

Alessandra turned into royalty through marriage to Prince Christian of Hanover. The two tied the knot on March 16, 2018, in a religious ceremony at St. Peter's Church in Lima, Peru. The religious ceremony was their second wedding. They first tied the knot in November 2017 in a civil wedding in London.

Their wedding is attended by British royalty Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, who had her wedding in that same year. Supermodel Kate Moss and boyfriend Count Nikolai von Bismarck and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay were also spotted at the wedding.

Their love story started when Alessandra was just 14 years old. She met the prince in 2005 when he went to Peru for a tour and Alessandra was the tour guide. Since then the two have forged a friendship. They started dating in 2011 and got engaged in April 2017 when Prince Christian proposed to her in London.

The princess regularly accompanies the prince in his international engagements. She also serves as ambassadress to Suárez Jewellery. She is currently writing a book on the origins of Peruvian fashion.
