As awards season continues the SAG Awards 2017 will air this weekend live from the Shrine Auditorium in downtown Los Angeles. The different between this ceremony as oppose to others is that actors vote for the winners, essentially awarding peers in the film and television genres.

Latinos confirmed to present an award are Gina Rodriguez, who will take the stage alongside John Legend for the Best TV Comedy Actor, and Salma Hayek who will award the actor in Best TV Movie/Limited Series category. Other stars that will hand out trophies are Ashton Kutcher, the cast of "Hidden Figures," the cast of "Stranger Things," Viola Davis, Michelle Dockery, James Marsden, Nicole Kidman, Brie Larson, Denzel Washington and many more.

During the night Lily Tomlin will be honored with the Life Achievement award for her amazing work until now. To honor the amazing legend, a pair of legends like Jane Fonda and Dolly Parton would only be fair to hand out the amazing accolade.

The top category in film is Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture where the following are nominated: "Captain Fantastic," "Fences," "Hidden Figures," "Manchester By The Sea" and "Moonlight."

For television shows the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series is one of two top awards where the following scored a nod: "The Crown," "Downton Abbey," "Game Of Thrones," "Stranger Things" and "Westworld."

The other top category is Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, these are the shows vying for the prize: "The Big Bang Theory," "black-ish," "Modern Family," "Orange Is The New Black" and "Veep."

The SAG Awards will air live on Sunday, January 29 at 8pm ET/5pm PT on both TNT and TBS. Live streaming of the event can be done via their respective apps on devices like AppleTV or smartphones.
