Tonight is an all-new episode of "Scandal" on ABC and with the presidency seat opening soon all potential candidates are gunning for the opportunity!
In the midseason premiere "It's Hard Out Here For a General" six months have passed since Liv (Kerry Washington) and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) broke up and both are handling their newfound freedom in different ways. Olivia begins sleeping with Jake (Scott Foley) again without talking to each other, while Abby (Darby Stanchfield) becomes Fitz work-wife. Meanwhile, Pope and Associates take on a case by the head of the NSA that could lead to a national crisis and Mellie (Bellamy Young) ask for Liv's help to run her presidential campaign.
The synopsis for tonights episode, "The Candidate," reads: "Mellie seeks out Olivia's help but may not be prepared for what that entails, and Liz tries to convince Susan Ross (Artemis Pebdani) to run for the presidency. Meanwhile, Abby and Cyrus (Jeff Perry) are at odds when a profile piece on Fitz comes into question."
"Scandal," "The Candidate" will air Thursday, Feb. 18 at 9:00 p.m. EDT on ABC and will be available the next day on abc.com, Hulu, iTunes and more. ABC does offer a live stream service so if you are TV-less just sign in and watch from your computer, tablet or smartphone.
