What Is "Sin Tu Mirada" Telenovela About? On a stormy night, beautiful Marina was apparently stillborn. The labor was assisted by Damiana, the town’s midwife, who also assisted a healthy boy’s delivery a few hours earlier. Sadly, that boy’s mother died at giving birth. Don Luis, Marina’s father, has been obsessed with having a boy ever since he married Prudencia, so he is constantly threatening his wife with leaving her for a woman who can give him the heir that will immortalize the Ocaranza’s name if she doesn’t. Unfortunately, after giving birth to the little girl, Prudencia won’t be able to get pregnant again, which encourages her nanny Angustias to convince Damiana of benefiting the orphan baby and his family by passing him off as a legitimate Ocaranza Arzuaga. this way, Alberto, Don Luis’ pride, is raised in a silver spoon and gets to travel abroad to study medicine.

Marina miraculously survives and grows happily around nature next to Damiana, who teaches her how to see the world differently for Marina was born blind. Marina’s charm, resulting from her joyful, fresh, and self-sufficient attitude, makes her win everyone’s heart. One day, Doctor Isauro enters Marina’s life and is mesmerized by both, her inner and external beauty, so he takes her under his protection and educates her.

Damiana’s house is accidentally set on fire with Marina inside. Just like that, Isauro breaks into the shack to save her and his face is disfigured by the fire. From then on, kind, sweet, and handsome Doctor Isauro turns into a selfish and resentful man. A loner who only allows and enjoys Marina’s presence.

The Ocaranzas return to the ranch. Prudencia asks her nanny to find her daughter’s tomb. Angustias goes see Damiana, but she refuses to tell her the truth.

One day, Marina hears a gunshot and then runs into Alberto, whom she reproaches for killing, hurting and scaring innocent and helpless animals. Alberto is impressed by her and tries to approach, but she doesn’t let him. Time later, they meet again and Alberto promises her not to touch a gun ever again. A beautiful emotion they had never felt starts growing between Marina and Alberto. Their attraction is so intense that they end up kissing in the middle of a situation that brings them really close. Alberto has a sudden reaction to this event and feels awful since he has a long-time girlfriend. He apologizes to Marina, he says it was a mistake and then takes off. Marina can’t understand why Alberto feels that way when it was the most beautiful thing she had ever experienced in her life. Alberto tries to move on with his life, but Marina has already caught his heart. So, he decides to break up with his girlfriend, Virginia.

Alberto’s parents totally disapprove of their son getting involved with a small-town blind girl, whom they bully and humiliate considering her a climber. But Alberto and Marina’s love is stronger than that, so they marry in secret. When Alberto introduces Marina as his wife, the conflict only grows bigger and Damiana finally reveals the babies’ exchange. Don Luis will refuse to accept he has a disabled daughter.

Several barriers must be torn down, and many people will oppose to their happiness; but eventually, their love will triumph …
