The 2015 State of the Union address will broadcast Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central, and 6 p.m. Pacific. Be sure to watch the address on NBC, CBS, or ABC. For those that prefer watching the live stream, be sure to tune into the official White House YouTube channel.

Tonight, President Barack Obama will stand before Congress and is slated to discuss issues regarding “Middle Class Economics,” which include plans to raise taxes on the wealthiest banks in order to hand tax breaks to working families. In addition, he will no doubt urge Congress to pass new laws that allow for college affordability including two years of free community college for students.

According to the White House website, the latest State of the Union also promises to deliver new live data and text bubbles that will enhance the way information is delivered from the speech. This year, a new format known as “river of content” will allow Americans to interact with the speech by sharing their thoughts on social media.

“In addition to the enhanced livestream that features graphics augmenting the speech, the river will provide a series of discrete pieces of content, or ‘boats,’ that showcase expanded, standalone views into Administration policy -- often with an interactive or personalized component. It’s part of an effort to make policy more specific and interesting, and more relevant to the people who will be affected,” according to Nathaniel Lubin, the White House’s acting director of digital strategy. “You'll generally get the kind of real-time experience usually reserved for sports events and technology company product demos -- and that content will all flow onto the page while you’re watching the speech. If it's not clear, we're pretty excited about it.”

President Obama will speak before Congress in Washington, D.C. at the 2015 State of the Union, which will air Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 9 p.m. Easter, 6 p.m. Pacific. Be sure to watch the live stream online in the video below.
