It is hard to believe that in 23 days 2013 will be over. This year has flown by and it seems as though we have had a number of memorable TV show moments. Some have made us laugh, some have made us cry and others left us wondering what in the heck did we just see? With so many options out there it is hard to narrow down what should be considered "The Best" TV moments. Let's start with the two most obvious choices for this year, "Game of Thrones'" "Red Wedding" and "Family Guy's" "Life of Brian."

Officially titled "The Rains of Castamere" episode nine of "Game of Thrones" season three has been known to fans as (1) "The Red Wedding." If you did not read the books, watching what happened in June of 2013 probably left you with your jaw on the floor. In an episode that was talked about for days, characters Robb Stark (Richard Madden) the King in the North, Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley) and Talisa Stark (Oona Chaplin) were murdered while attending the wedding of Robb's uncle to the girl Robb was supposed to marry.

The scene was full of blood and battle with the first kill being Talisa when she is stabbed to death. Robb is next and Catelyn dies screaming after having just watched her son killed. Twitter exploded with tweets expressing their grief and shock at what happened. Equally upsetting to fans and probably more of a shock since there was no book telling you it would happen was the (2) death of Brian on "Family Guy." The quick witted and much beloved family pet of the Griffins met his end when he was struck by a car.

Twitter once again erupted with posts demanding show creators and Fox revive the dog or lose viewers. Other shocking TV show deaths from 2013 include (3) Joss Carter on "Person of Interest" played by Taraji P. Henson Carter was a vital part of the "POI" team and a favorite cast member. Det. Carter was fatally shot while Reese battling a corrupt organization. Ron Pearlman has been playing form SAMCRO President (4) Clay Morrow on "Sons of Anarchy" since season one. Last week Morrow's stepson Jax (Charlie Hunnam) shot and killed Clay in retribution for the pain he caused.

In a moment that left fans asking "Did they really just kill him?" we saw Alexander Skarsgard a.k.a (5) Eric from "True Blood" burst into flames during the finale of season 6. While it is hard to see how a vampire could survive that little event show runner Brian Buckner told TV Line, "I can tell you that Alexander Skarsgard is going to be a part of the next season of "True Blood"He will be a series regular." Don't you toy with us Buckner!

In a TV moment that had viewers gasp with an audible "eww" the finale season of Showtime's "The Borgias" saw a coupling we hoped would remain a rumor. In the episode titled "Siblings" we saw the long hinted at incestuous (6) relationship between brother Cesare (Francois Arnaud) and sister Lucrezia (Holiday Grainger) go carnal. Lucrezia, upset over the turn her wedding night has taken seeks comfort in the arms of the only man who has every truly loved her, big brother Cesare. Another memorable TV moment was the series finale of "Breaking Bad."

The finale did not disappoint and ended with the inevitable (7) death of Walter White (Bryan Cranston). After five seasons we said goodbye to White when we watched him blow himself up in his meth lab. A former chemistry teacher, unsuccessful with fixing the issues with his family White was able to take his enemies out when he set the explosion in the lab. Leaving his family millions of dollars Walter dies knowing they'll be taken care of as his partner Jesse goes free.

Ok we know this one is not a TV show but it was a spectacle none the less; (8) Miley Cyrus' MTV VMA performance, need we say more? This next one is also not a TV show but Chicago Blackhawks' fans will agree it deserves to be on every top ten countdown this year. The Blackhawks had a tough time going into the playoffs but the two shots that won them the Stanley Cup this year are nothing short of miraculous. In 17 seconds at the end of game six (9) the Hawks score twice on a man considered to be the best goalie in the NHL.

In what has been described as a "surreal" moment the Hawks snatch a 3-2 victory over Boston. Our finale top 10 TV moment from the year 2013 comes from "The Walking Dead" the mid-season finale saw the (10) deaths of a number of characters including Maggie and Beth's father Hershal who was decapitated by the Governor, who was also killed. The episode ends with the possible death of baby Judith who is at this moment missing. What do you think of our list? Did we get it right or did we miss a few important moments? Let us know in the comments!
