The Tokyo Auto Salon is out of control. A JDM SEMA, if you will, Toyota is using this unique venue as its platform to introduce a slew of sick new sports cars. Toyota motorsports partner Gazoo Racing has found a lot of success racing the Toyota GT86 in touring races all over the world. Now, Gazoo is introducing the Toyota GRMN 86 Concept to bring the road racing experience to the street!

The Toyota GRMN 86 Concept is a milder version of Gazoo Racing's GT86 Nurburgring 24 Hour racing car. According to Gazoo, the unique 86 concept is all about achieving the optimal weight reduction for a lower center of gravity. Combine the weight-loss with improved body rigidity and an enhanced powertrain, and you've got an incredibly poised sports car that truly communicates with the driver.

From the outside, the GRMN 86 Concept looks like a mild street car rather than a race car. The GRMN 86 Concept features a carbon fiber hood, front lip, mirror caps and rear spoiler. Subtle red trim pieces and graphics makes the GRMN 86 feel more special.

Of course, Gazoo Racing will be there for this year's Nurburgring 24 Hours. We can't wait to see what else Gazoo Racing is doing with the GT86 next.
