Sometimes, the things we love most can be stinky, according to Wanda Hernandez, the mother of 16-year-old rising star, Laurie Hernandez. Laurie is a Puerto Rican decedent U.S. Olympic gymnastics gold and silver medalist, and recent winner of “Dancing with the Stars,” making history for being the youngest champion.

Both are partnering with Febreze to introduce a fresh twist to the “I Love You, But Sometimes You Stink” campaign that launched earlier in 2017. Febreze at Walmart’s first Latina mother/daughter duo are promoting new Febreze with OdorClear designed to seek out odor molecules, deactivate them and clean away odors better than ever before.

The duo is currently starring a video together for the first time. The Hernandezes gravitated towards the Febreze campaign because it highlights love for and dedication to the most important things in our life…even when they stink.

Through the campaign, Laurie had the opportunity to teach her mom a thing or two about dancing, while Wanda was able to show Laurie what eliminating those active teen odors is all about.

In a recent visit to the Latin Times, Laurie and Wanda, answered question about the experience of working together, tips on strong mother/daughter relationship and even they spoke a little Spanish. Both also answered questions from the audience. Watch the full interview below.
