When you think of traditional Mexican music, you don’t think of a saucy, sexy powerhouse Latina diva with a hip-hop swagger and a whole lot of heart. However, Victoria “La Mala” Ortiz is about to change that perception for good. The singer songwriter transforms the Banda genre with her impressive vocal range, striking style, and urban savvy.

Recorded at Pig Sound Studio in Los Angeles, CA, “Si va a doler que Duela” showcases the “sierreño” style of music within the Regional Mexican genre, which in this song features guitars and tuba. Victoria, was recently named by Billboard as one of the "Five Millennial Mexican Acts Repping the Latin Genre You Need to Hear Now."

Victoria explained the meaning behind her new song. "'Si va a doler que duela' is about that pain that hurts so bad from either losing a loved one or ending a relationship, it hurts so much that you just want it to hurt bad so it can go away soon and never come back again. It's also a very special song for me since it's showing a more vulnerable side of me that I haven't really showed before in my songs,” said the the only Regional Mexican artist nominated to Premios Juventud 2016 category of Producers choice.

Expect to hear the new single and many more favorites during Victoria’s first headline concert on June 24 at The Parish at House of Blues in Anaheim. But in the meantime listen “Si va a doler que Duela," down below and tell us what you think!
